I know it seems logical and all – but I find it astounding that the FIRST thing ANYONE asks me when they hear I’m pregnant is “How many are in there this time?” or something to that effect.
I mean, don’t you think I’d mention the multiple factor if there was one?
That is rather funny.
my brother’s wife had 2 sets of twins in a row. Very Bobbsey-twinnish.
No questions from me…just CONGRATS 🙂
I don’t know. Since many people don’t exactly announce when they’re multiply blessed, I could see why people might ask. OTOH, since the same people who don’t announce also would not be very likely to tell a person *even if they asked*, the question starts sounding borderline intrusive. Though I guess intrusive sounds just about right for many.
I am just excited for you. I remember reading in one of your posts that you just wanted a singleton pregnancy. Looks like you got your wish! Congratulations!
People say the craziest things to pregnant women. I’m still getting people whose first response to hearing that we are expecting multimples is “you know, you’re going to need some help.”
And thank heavens twins do legitimately run in my family so I can honestly answer yes to that question from all the nosey Parkers out there (even though our pregnancy was ART all the way).
That is so funny! Of course you will mention it. BTW so glad Sam’s talking.
Congratulations! How far along are you? I’m also pregnant after triplets with a singleton (my trips are 17 mo old).
